Game Instructions – Steps and rules for the game

The game is the same as other memory games. We have two cards for each flag whose country is a member of NATO. The teacher mixes the cards and faces them down on the table. Students start playing by opening two boxes (they turn the cards on the side of the drawing) – if the two open cards are the same, the student picks up and opens two more. Every player in the game does the same as long as there are cards.

At the end they are counting the cards and that student who has the most is a winner and gets the right to become a NATO member with a country that he has chosen before the game begins.

This game fits best into English language teaching at the beginning of the book Messages 2, where students study nations and states.
